Introducing ICE Stars
Winterhawks ICE is excited to announce the launch of our new ICE Stars program! This new program, designed for the beginning-level freestyle skater, introduces skaters to an academy-style training program and individual skill development while also helping foster a supportive skating community.
What is the ICE Stars program?
The ICE Stars program is your gateway to the exciting world of advanced figure skating training. This once-weekly course allows skaters to be exposed to a variety of different coaches and coaching techniques. Upon completion of the program, skaters will be mentally and physically equipped to join competitive academy programming offered at both locations.
The comprehensive curriculum focuses on the foundations of figure skating. Skaters will spend time each week between three stations of instruction—jumps, spins, and skating skills—followed by an off-ice training component. With a focus on proper skill progression, body alignment, and mental preparation, skaters are able to develop individual skills at an accelerated pace.
Our ICE Stars program is built on the core values of athleticism, which includes:
I - INTEGRITY
C - CAMARADERIE
E - EXCELLENCE
S - SPORTSMANSHIP
T- TENACITY
A - ATTITUDE
R - RESPECT
S - STRENGTH
