Portland Jr. Winterhawks 12U White Finish as State Runners-Up

Eugene, OR – The Portland Jr. Winterhawks 12U White team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Oregon State Hockey Association State Tournament, finishing as runners-up after a hard-fought championship game against the Klamath Ice Hawks.
The team opened the tournament with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Rogue Valley Reign, securing the game-winner late in the third period. Their momentum carried into the second game against the host Generals, where they overcame a 3-1 deficit to claim a 6-3 win.
With two victories, 12U White clinched a spot in the championship game despite a tough 5-3 loss to Klamath in their final round-robin matchup. The rematch in the finals was a battle from start to finish, with Portland applying relentless pressure. A late bounce denied them an equalizer, and the game ended in a 2-0 defeat.
Despite falling just short, the 12U White team showcased determination, resilience, and skill throughout the tournament. Their second-place finish is a testament to their dedication and the support of their coaches, families, and the Jr. Winterhawks community. Congratulations on an incredible season!
