Read this Q&A to learn more about Enzo, his time with the Jr. Winterhawks, and what he's currently up to!

Q: Looking back, what stands out to you most about your time playing with the Jr. Winterhawks?

A: What stands out to me the most is the bond I built with my teammates. Whether it was long car rides, tough practices, or big wins, we went through everything together. That sense of family and support made it such a special time in my life. The people I met when I was younger still play a large part in my life as those became my lifelong friends.

Q: How did your experience with the Jr. Winterhawks shape you, both on and off the ice?

A: It shaped me in a lot of ways. On the ice, I learned how to stay focused, bounce back from mistakes, and play as part of a team. Off the ice, it taught me time management, leadership, and how to carry myself with confidence and integrity. Those lessons have helped me in school, hockey, and in everyday life.

Q: Was there a particular coach, teammate, or moment that had a lasting influence on your hockey journey?

A: Coach Barry Smith definitely had a big impact on me. He always pushed me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of. One game that really stuck with me was after we lost in the semi-final of the national championship—we didn’t come out on top, but the way we fought until the end reminded me why I love the game. Coach, after the game, showed a side to the team no one had seen. It truly stuck with me—the impact our team made on him that year. That moment made me want to work even harder.

Q: What advice would you give to current Jr. Winterhawks players chasing their hockey dreams?

A: Stay committed and trust the process. There will be highs and lows, but the key is to keep showing up and putting in the work. Also, remember to enjoy the moment—you don’t realize how fast time goes until it’s over.

Q: What are you up to now, both in the hockey world and otherwise?

A: Right now, I’m focused on hockey, playing in Colorado for the Colorado Thunderbirds 18U AAA team for going on three years now. My time with the Jr. Winterhawks prepared me for a higher level of hockey. Not only that, but I coach hockey camps when I find the time. Hockey has been such a big part of my life, and I want to stay connected to it however I can.
